New Liverpool head coach Arne Slott has made a direct phone call to speedy Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong this summer.
According to German outlet สมัคร ufabet , Slott will be in Germany to watch the Netherlands take on Turkey in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 on Thursday
and has reportedly spoken directly to the 23-year-old full-back, who was a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen double-winning campaign last season. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s
other right-back option Joshua Kimmich is also likely to become Slott’s first summer signing amid speculation the Bayern Munich star is pushing for a move away from the Bundesliga giants this summer.
With Kimmich linked with a move to Anfield, journalist Ben Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that the 29-year-old’s chances of playing under Vincent Kompany remain a question mark.
Jacobs said: “There is a high probability that he will leave Bayern Munich. They will definitely consider an offer for him and remember they could make a big profit because they only paid RB Leipzig €7m. “Any contract
negotiations with Kimmich have completely stalled and that means it is possible that he will leave. “Kimmich
will now have to speak directly with Vincent Kompany to understand his role and the future that the club sees for him. But if a bid comes in, Kimmich is worth more than €45m so Bayern will consider it very seriously.”
